Adult Program

Men and women of all ages are welcome in our Adult Program. Over the years, we have learned that most adults are interested in three areas: health and fitness, self-defense and a form of mental relaxation. We have also learned that adults want to be mentally stimulated and challenged. Your Adult Classes are designed to challenge you, get you in shape, and teach you skills that may save your life, all in a fun and motivating atmosphere.

Shaolin Kempo Jiu-Jitsu is a combination of the Chinese martial art of chuan-fa (way of the fist), the Japanese martial arts of Karate and Jiu-Jitsu (open-hand, locking and release maneuvers and pressure point techniques) and the Brazilian art of Jiu-Jitsu (grappling or ground fighting). This combination makes for a complete and effective martial arts system.

Life can become a routine for us adults. However, each and every belt rank you achieve will give you the feeling of accomplishment and satisfaction that you haven't felt in years.

Regardless of whether you can dedicate one, two or several times per week to your training, LifeSkills Martial Arts offers you a fun and exciting martial arts experience. We are confident that you will enjoy becoming a martial artist with LifeSkills.

“The classes have been a good way to stay active while learning martial arts at the same time. It is a good way to teach self-control to adults and children. For myself, it is a good stress relief, and as a young woman, the classes teach me ways to protect myself, a knowledge that I can carry throughout life. And it is fun!”

Lola Mills

“We really enjoy our martial arts classes. It is good exercise and besides being a good stress reliever, I know that I am learning defense techniques that will be beneficial in the event of an emergency. There is something for our entire family to participate in from the youngest, who is 7, to the oldest, who is 54. Male or female, we all enjoy our training! Several of us have had training before, and speaking from that perspective, Mr. Matheny is an excellent instructor that I am proud to call “my sensei”. Mr. Matheny and his wife, Renee made us feel like part of this dojo family from the very first day.”
